Privacy policy

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare (“Cloudflare Workers” service): Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, the host automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (server log files): IP address, date and time, page visited, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and without disruption. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. A transfer to the USA is possible; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. 3. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, phone or eBay message, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, details about your vehicle and phone, screenshots) solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a purchase, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Email processing by service providers. For emails to and from info@obdepotshop.de we use the following service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR:

• Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., address see above) receives incoming emails to our domain and forwards them to our mailbox (“Cloudflare Email Routing”). Messages are not stored permanently in the process.
• Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) provides our mailbox (Gmail), where emails are stored and handled.
• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) technically sends our outgoing emails and signs them so that they are delivered reliably. Brevo processes the sender, recipient, content and delivery data of the message.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in reliable and secure email communication. With Cloudflare and Google, a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Cloudflare, Google, Brevo.

4. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to eBay, the Apple App Store, Google Play, Veepeak and other providers. Only when you click a link are you taken to the provider’s website, where its privacy policy applies. No data is transmitted to these providers beforehand.

5. No cookies, no tracking

We do not set cookies. The interactive features (guide, vehicle check, search, checklist) run entirely in your browser – your entries are not transmitted to us.

Only if you use the light/dark mode switch does your browser remember this choice in its local storage (“localStorage”). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. It is strictly necessary for the feature you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Simply contact us using the details above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
